I’ve been working on some cool AI/ML things in the a few different areas. I’ve got a number of incomplete blog posts and projects which are a work in progress but I’ve compiled all my notes into a central place: Grad Alley

The highlights being:

• llm.go: I did a port of karpathy’s llm.c into go, presenting at the AI tinkerers Toronto meetup on June 27, 2024
• gpt2-evy: fine tuned model for the evy programming language, along with a gemini fine tuned model that can make code for the evy programming language (going to be posting a lot more about this soon)
• Attempted an OpenElm implementation in llama.cpp: This is still a work in progress. If anyone could help with this that would be great lol.
• The Agora open source research lab: Paper readings and ML discussion sessions every weekday.
• Started my own paper reading group in Toronto

There’s still a way to go on a lot of these projects, but they’ve been super fun so far.

I think this field is probably the most technically interesting thing I’ve ever been around, and the layers of abstraction that it spans down from the type of arithmetic used all the way up to the application layer is pretty wild.

This document is going to be a living document of resources and fun things I find. Hope you enjoy.
